Are you planning on using the PCIe x4 slot or the PCIe x1 slot? if not than that motherboard is fine otherwise you'll have space issues with the usb ports and the PCIe x16 on that micro board.

Yes this is definitely for gaming. Battlefield 3.. I haven't counted the cost/rebates yet..but im looking at maybe over 900$ so far. will let you know.

Only two things I would suggest. The ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 is a slightly better board in that price range, but the Gigabyte is similar.

Also, if you can afford it I would upgrade to a 120GB+ SSD. A lot of people who get a 60GB or 64GB boot drive find themselves wishing they'd splurged on something bigger. Between Windows and games and essential programs, 60GB just isn't quite enough.
