Well, It turns out I bought 4Gb of Hyper-X (from 3 years ago) that show's 2 of them in CPU-Z at the ddr2 667mhz, B.S. I like the ram but I want what I paid for; 800mhz ddr2 4-4-4-12. I am pretty sure if RAM Sticks are over 1.8v they're lesser overclocked versions. Now I purchased this a while ago and am about to get 8gb, and I'm just looking for a reliable "actual" DDR2 800mhz pc-6400 4-4-4-12 set-up, not an overclocked marketing gimmick. Any expertise is welcomed, thank you.

4GB Hyper-x DDR2-800mhz
Asus P5N-D
GTX560 Fermi 1Gb GPU

Hello Suzuki, :welcome:

Well, the memory (HyperX) is tested to run at 800MHz but the SPD's are programmed to run at 667MHz so as to meet the JEDEC standard. You can find the same info in the Kingston website. You can set the frequency manually in your BIOS to 800MHz. For lesser overclocked RAM or a value RAM please visit the following webpage -

Good luck with the upgrade!! :)
