6870 XOC vs GTX 560 Ti

My friend is giving me a deal on his 6870 (http://www.diamondmm.com/6870PE51GXOC.php) for under $200 with a 850w psu. I was wondering if I should take him up on it or go for the GTX 560 Ti (http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Mini-HDMI-Graphics-01G-P3-1567-KR/dp/B004XUCCRM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317570375&sr=8-1)

I'm planning to play games like BF3, Dead Island, StarCraft 2, and other new games.

So which should I choose?

My Computer Specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 @ 2.6ghz
6GB DDR3
Windows 7 Home 64bit

My current one is 300, so I was planning to buy a new one when I got a new GFX card, but if I buy the 6870 he basically throws it in for free (850w ThermalTake)

Can you overclock that CPU perhaps? 2.6ghz is pretty low these days. It'll limit either card some, especially in games that only use two cores.
