ASUS P6X58D & 16GB vs 24GB

Hello, will my ASUS P6X58D Premium board support 2133mhz ram vs 2000mhz ram? The motherboard manual Qualified Vendors List only has ram listed at 2000mhz so I was wondering if I can go above that?

I want to max out the ram to 24gb instead of 16gb.

The 16gb are Kingston Hyper X Beast 2 x 8GB - 2133MHz, PC3-12800, DDR3, CL11. KHX21C11T3K2/16X.
XMP TIMING PARAMETERS
JEDEC: DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9
XMP Profile #1: D3-2133 CL11-12-11
XMP Profile #2: D3-1600 CL9-9-9

The 24gb are Corsair Vengeance - 6 x 4GB - 1600MHz, PC3-12800, DDR3, 9-9-9-24 at 1600mhz. XMPCMZ24GX3M6A1600C9.



Should I stick with 2133mhz vs 1600mhz?

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 so it supports 192gb max ram I think.

You better get 24gB as triple channel will be used then. 2133 with higher timings is not much faster than 1600 with low timings. So go for 24gB.
You can go upto 2133MHz.
Going from dual to triple channel gives you a significant speed boost.
