yes it will really depend on what....

but i would say average 24" screen uses less than 30Watts.

and a average cpu uses max 95Watts.

again, it really does depend on the monitor and cpu (base unit?). It could be anything from under 100W for a basic system to over 1kW for a really high end nulti-monitor gaming system.

A few of the power supply manufacturers have psu calculators which will give a better idea of the base unit power than we can give.

A typical 24" LCD monitor with traditional florescent backlight is probably about 50w.

A typical 24" LCD monitor with LED florescent backlight is probably about 25w.

Current CPUs can range generally range between 40w (low power & reduced speed) to around 180w (Phenom II X6 1100T) at 100% load.

Don't forget that video card also use power from as low as around 15w for a non gaming card to 400w for a Radeon HD 6990 under 100% load
