u have pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.40 GHz and i am going to upgrade my RAM and graphics card so if i do that , will my system support new high graphics games.... does processor matter or not for gamming!! after i upgrade my RAM AND graphics card?? plz help any 1

Cpu architecture and clock speed all matter, for example a processor running at 1ghz will not perform as well as it running at 3ghz. Well to truly answer your question, it depends on what games you play. The Pentium 4 is a VERY Old processor. I suggest at least an i3-2100 and a z68 motherboard. It will be a big upgrade over any Pentium 4 processor.

Nearly all current games requires a dual core processor. The P4 2.40GHz is only single core and the CPU design itself is outdated and rather slow. A current dual core 2.4GHz CPU easily exceeds the processing power of your current CPU.

The P4 will bottleneck a modern graphics card, the more powerful the graphics card, the more it will be bottlenecked.
