When looking for build advice it is best to fuill out the template located in this forum. Your list doesn't look that bad but you will need to explain what you plan on using it for, etc for anyone here to give you an honest response.

Just from first glance I see your mobo and ram are a bit pricey, i would suggest the asrock line of boards (z68). They are solid and feature-packed. You can get a very nice board for 125. I also noticed there isn't a SSD in your list. This is a must for any new computer, regardless of use. The perfomrance increase from an ssd outweighs so many other upgrades.

Another suggestion is to not put all your eggs in one basket. I personally prefer newegg for my parts, but TD also has some good deals. Shop around for the best prices once you have a completed build list. You can probably save around $100 just looking for combos

Looks pretty legit. Wouldnt worry about the sound card though kind of a waste. id go with a different board too. Z68 boards are better

These ASUS RoG boards are sick 169.99

For a cpu cooler if you want water go with a h70 or h100 for a heastsink/fan combo a Hyper 212 evo by coolermaster.

thanks for the replies. sorry i didnt follow the template. im in afghanistan and it takes a while to load pages so i apologize. This rig is for gaming. I have a 128 SSD already (sorry forgot to mention). i was going back and forth on p67/z68 looked like most people on the forum said that if youre not video recording than you dont need the z68. Am i mistaken?

for the most part that is correct, but z68 is the supposed 'future' and with pricing roughly the same it is worth it to spring for a z68 board.

How does it look now. This will be my first build so if theres anything else I need nuts and bolts wise, I'd appreciate the recommendations. BTW, TigerDirect had the cheapest price on almost all of the components. Thanks for the replies!

Are you planning on overclocking? If not you won't need a water cooler. Also right now you have a full tower and a micro ATX mobo, not sure what your thinking is here? Do you plan on SLI or X-fire?

Do you have a budget?

Yes I plan on o/c. I plan on getting the one gtx 570 and either A. getting another one for SLI or B. waiting for the new Nvidia cards to drop in a few months and way my options then. Whats the problem with the full tower and micro mobo? Still learning. thanks for the reply! Tryin to keep the build under $2200
