INF File was not found AMD Catalyst

Ive recently decied to update my Radeon 5870 to Catalyst 11.10 for BF3 beta to run beta and i had some problems so i uninstalled Catalyst control centre and have been trying to reinstall it multiple version like 11.3 and 11.8 but it keep scoming up with the INF file not found and im really stumped as to how i can get past this?

The simplest way would be to do a system restore.

UNINSTALL AVAST ANTIVIRUS!! That is what solved catalyst 11-10 installation problems for me. It was not enough to eliminate it through disabling it. I had heaps of propblems and tried everything else to get 11-10 to work. OMG I am never ever going back to Avast again. Even though someone might be having the same problems with different antivirus softwares.

Even though I had installed the 11-10 with the installer saying, no INF file found. AFTER uninstalling avast and rebooting, it worked straight away. Avast free 6 has some huge problems with just about everything it has to offer.
