Is my CPU good? Do I need a new one?

Hi. I have a "AMD Quad-Core A8-3800 Accelerated Processor." 2.4GHz, Quad core. I can overclock it too 2700Mhz.

If this is a weak processor for gaming, I have to live w/ it. Would I be able to OVER overclock it. I mean go past 2.7Ghz? Like 3.3Ghz.

Trial and error, for me at least, is how to get the max overclock.

I think that is a good CPU.

The cheapest way to get better gaming from an AMD A8 is to add a CrossFire compatible video card. It will use the A8+dGPU for gaming and the FPS will increase by 50-90% depending on the game.

This is the max card you can CrossFire with that. It's $69.99.

If you want more performance you can get a better discrete video card and it will stop using the A8 for video. Your limit will depend on the Power Supply your computer has, so make sure to check that before buying a more expensive video card.
