I am planning to play World of Tanks on Very high 30-40 or even 40+ FPS and I am unhappy with my HD 6770 upgrade from GT 220.I cant run alot of games on high,I can run World of Tanks on high not on very high and on high I get 20-25 FPS in open area but in town I get 30+.So should i5 2500k 3.3GHz do the job?I am upgrading from Dual-Core 3.0 GHz @ 3.0 GHz.

My specs:

Processor:Dual-Core 3.0 GHz @ 3.0 GHz

Graphic card:VTX3D HD 6770 1GB DDR5

RAM:4 GB

OS:Win 7

The i5 2500k is socket 1155. In order to use it you would have to purchase a 1155 motherboard. If you have the money to do so then yes the 2500k will do the job spectacularly
