MSI GTX 460 1GB

I've got an MSI GTX460 1GB, and in afterburner, it reads 2048 MB, in memory usage. Should only read 1024 MB, or is it using shared memory from my RAM, as well?

Unless I, for some reason, recieved a screwed up model, that instead has 2GB? Regardless, I'm certainly happy with how it works, and I'm certainly not complaining if it IS a 2GB card, I'd just like some speculation on the matter.


Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like shared memory to me. This is under load, right? Mine currently reads 177mb while folding, which is far from RAM-intensive (no actual graphics).

It peaks around 900 mb while gaming, ~330 with StarCraft II minimized, and a few other windows up.
