Two cable modems with Verizon Fios

I have Verizon Fios, but my house is not wired for Ethernet.

I have their cable router wireless-modem in one bedroom connected to the coax TV connector. This gives me one computer at high speed in the house.

The rest are connected via wireless. I have additional cable points in the house. Can I get an additional high speed connection by adding another cable modem. I think I will get an IP conflict. Can I resolve this?

If your house is wired for cable I believe there is a way to use the cable for your computer network. I'm sorry I don't have the time right now to find my notes on that. I know the cable used for the TV connection is different from the Cat5 type cable used for etherne connections but I recall seeing something about using the TV cable for home networking, but alas my memory fails me.
