I have used this guide(http://www.ehow.com/how_6100213_flash-bios-usb.html) in the past for updating the bios, but this chipset is new to me. I was wondering if this would also work on the chipset?

I am getting the newest Bios from the asus website(http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LK/#download) is there anything else that I am missing?

Solution
Not much. Download the latest BIOS (the first one in the list), uncompress it onto a USB stick and reboot your computer. Go into BIOS, hit ESC and select Advanced Mode, navigate to the Tools menu, use the Asus EZFlash 2 utility to find the bios file, and flash away.

WARNING: Do not touch the computer after the flashing process has begun. Wait for the message to display that the bios is done flashing.
