ok let's go from the top
good CPU for the money .. also you will not be able to oc it ( you can also get i3-2100 which is still pretty good CPU - goes for $100 at microcenter)
no need for aftermarket cooler as u will not oc your CPU
get a better brand motherboard - ASUS, Gigabyte
that memory is 1.65v u need 1.5v .. Gskill, Corsair
HDD is fine .. but not the best .. if u can find WD Caviar Black or Samsung F3 go for it
for the case I would recommend going with Antec 300 or NZXT Gamma for your budget
Definitely change PSU ... brands like Corsair, PC power and cooling, Antec ..etc
optical drive is whatever

if u decide to go with i3 2100, i would recommend amd phenom ii x4 955 because its performance are basically the same at the same price range, and it has a potential to overclock.

This is a great build lol.

USB 3.0 transfers data 10x faster than usb 2.0.

You only need a CD burner which is $20 and a good 1920 x 1080p monitor which is less than $150. :) good luck.

How about upgrading your i3-2100 after a year or so to new ivi bridge 4 or more cores CPU? Because I would recommend an i3-2100 over 955 be.
AMD boards are not dead, and does have a pass to upgrade, but by now the intel is better move.
