Samsung 3D (d6000) 3d problem

Ok so i bought a new Samsung smart 3d ua32d6000 tv just now.

I get it home, set it up, go the scaling of the computer right and everything, and i thought it was time to try out the 3d glasses. I put them on, with the batteries in them, hit 3d, changing through both the left and right, and up and down icons, and the 3d doesnt, like, uh, join. It splits it on the sides of the screen, and isnt matching up in the middle to create the 3d image..... Does it ONLY work with 3d blu-ray players? Cause i thought it could make anything 3d.....


EDIT: Yes i have turned on the glasses also.)

Whats wrong?....

You need a 3D input. Be it 3D bluray or a 3D cable input. It doesn't turn 2D movies into 3D movies.

Damn it, srsly? My bro got an LG one, and his turns anything into 3D..... so hdmi wont turn it into 3d. Is there a 3d cable that'll go from tv to computer? I got a similar setup to what u have, cept mines an ati 5890

There are some 3d tv's that have some special 3D mode that converts 2D into 3D, but I hear it's pretty terrible in quality. I personally don't have such a TV.
