Accursed Curse Game Advert

Sometimes I wonder if the ad team actually checks the effect of the ads before making them go live.

I'm using FF with adblock plus, and it doesn't stop the ad.

Whenever that add pops up, I have to close the page. It bugs my work places' customized version of IE 8.

I've not seen the ad myself.

It comes up when I click on any of the following: manage my profile, my page, rank, or any of the links inside each of those.

It stays on the screen for ~10 seconds, then fades into the background. Though, sometimes the page stops loading, and I have to refresh. Then it stays on for another 10 seconds.

Adblock Plus prevented it loading but after disabling it I see the ad. That's a real show-stopper. If I want to manage my profile I don't want to wait an additional 10 seconds on top of the already long load time to do so.

My Adblock does block it. aford, you might want to make sure you have the newest version.

FF does block it.

When are we going to be free of this monstrous intrusion. It's particularly peeving to spend time weeding out people who spamvertise on the forums only to have this paid for material stomping all over the place.

I blocked the whole pwn.curse.com, and it's still loading. It just blocked the banners and the pop up.

I tried adding pwn.curse.com to the Adblocker and now it goes faster from the ad to the website but still i see it

Well, I'm confused then.

I too am using AdBlock Plus (but I'm also using NoScript, and using all the block lists in AdBlock), HOWEVER I see no ads.

Using:
Fire Fox 3.7a5 with NoScript and AdBlock Plus along with a custom host file + Custom Linux Firewall.

Recomendation:
Redirect the domain to localhost for the ad to in the Windows host file ( I started with this list: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm )
Use NoScript also.

Why does toms have to buy those ads that get in your way. like, i dont care if its on the side, out of the way, but full screened for 10s, its really annoying >

I had Adblock before,and now i downloaded NoScript too and wow it worked   thanks a lot

I had NoScript installed until about a week ago. I just got annoyed having to allow pages all the time. We use IE here at work, so NoScript isn't an option.  

I've let the guys know about the problems with the ad and they are looking into it.

You don't have to allow the page every time. Just allow the scripts that are needed for comments, posts,etc. permanently.

Ya, that's fine. But it was halting almost every other webpage that I went to as well. That's why I dumped it.

The ad effectively stopped me accessing the site for three days ... I couldn't get into the forums due to a redirect to /forums/membres (yes /membres) which threw me to a "cursed site". The link indicating how to get out merely went to a signup page.

I will never buy that game and have blocked their website.

Since my 4 kids have just about every game on the planet and I have 2 of them beta testing for two game companies at home thats a loss to ACCURSED.

I don't like being manipulated.

Installing Firefox now ... IE9 is a complete waste of space and so hackable it's a joke.

They tell me it should be fixed now. It was actually just a temporary test.
