M5a97 r2.0 bundle of issues

I recently updated my bios to 1302 and suddenly all my 3.5mm jacks will not produce sound. only sound via usb will work. also my computer started having disk read errors on boot randomly. after a couple resets it will boot. seemingly at random.

pretty much the second I finished the bios update my computer has been having a billion issues. has anybody else been having issues with this board????


I have been taking my computer apart for about 2 weeks now and have pretty much the fist 9 pages of google in purple. nothing seems to be working or fixing any of these issues.


motherboard:m5a97 r2.0 bios1302
cpu: amd fx6300 running at stock 3.5
mem: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GBx4

I have not. do you think downgrading it would help fix issues? or just to verify a stable version. or just something that is good to try.

The latest version might be a bugged one so downgrading is good to try.
Have you experienced these issues before updating?
