Need help with my acer password

Hi i was reinstalling windows xp onto my laptop and the battery died now it comes up with some kind of faliure, so i need to reinstall it but i cant get into the bios to make it boot from disc because it has a password and i cant remove it, i'v tried pulling the CMOS battery and it's still there does anyone know how to remove it would be a great help
