Stock cooler for now??

Hello one and all

Quick question...

Installing a Noctua NH-D14 soon on my i5-2500k at the end of the month but for now shall i stick with stock cooler or go for a Coolermaster Vortex plus (which i have) for now there will be no overclocking involved?

Keep the stock, its only a short period of time. But watch the temps on initial install: I just (temporarilly) installed the stiock cooler on my 2500K (until the Antec 920 arrives) and didn't apply extra thermnal past and it ran hot until the past on the Intel cooler cured. Now it's running 31 C at idle.

You're fine as long as you don't overclock until you get your Noctua.
