Alright Toms, I need some help here. This is my ponder. I am a video producer, director, and editor. What I need to know is, is there a DVI switcher that I can purchase to switch between a 42 inch LED tv and a second monitor. I will have one dedicated monitor(always running on my PC), a second monitor, and a 42 inch flat screen running in my studio. I want to be able to use the second monitor and the TV for a second monitor. (Not at the same time) The thing is I also want to be able to switch between the second monitor and the TV. Basically I want to be able to use the TV sometimes for editing from the PC. I also want to sometimes entertain with the TV via cable and or PS3 while its not being used as a monitor. I am running a GTX 560 ti and really don't want to have to upgrade to get this effect. I hope I explained myself enough for you all to understand. Thank you in advance for any of your input.

Why would you bump a post in 3 minutes? It can take a day for someone to answer, re-posting won't help much aside from maybe get the mods involved because "pumping" posts is agains the policy here.

You can get a DVI splitter to send the signal but if the TV is too far away you'll need a booster or it won't work. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=dvi+splitter&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=10877014357289352360&os=reviews

Ah.. on second though, unless you are running on the same resolution on both devices you would want a true switch...

Note that the true video switches are a lot more expensive than the KVM switches, but they are much higher quality and would run a signal for longer distances.
