I Chose the i7 instead of the i5 simply because you have the money and I feel it's a little more future proof.
Just my 2 cents do with it what you will.

Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated my budget went up to about 2500 without the video card so I was looking at the new sandy bridge E processors with the new asus extreme 2011 mobo, but the more I read it looks like it would just be a huge waste, all I basically do is game no encoding or anything along those lines..

*also*

Would you recommend the corsair 650D/800D over the HAF? and the H100 cooler over that coolermaster? those are the only two things I would think of changing other than that I am lovin the list!!

Honestly I feel both of them are personal preference especially the case a far as the cooler master its just had rave reviews and its the best for the dollar I personaly went with the Cooler Master V8 just because it looked awesome, works great by the way too.

based on the price it really isn't worth it... i knew... but since spense626 said his budget went up to about 2500 so i tried this one... too bad the eleven hundred doesn't come with front fans... the reason i adding 5 fans is one for rear... two at front and two at the side the hdd cage... so if really that isn't the choice.. here's an alternative...
