I'm not sure what you're saying, but Windows does take a while to load up. If you have too many desktop icons, that can be slow. You might have a lot of background tasks that are trying to load at the same time as your icons. You might even have icons for on-line stuff that have to be fetched from the Internet, which could take forever. Get rid of as many desktop icons as you can, and look at the properties of each remaining one to see where they reside. Stop programs from running at startup---there are many ways of doing this, but the best is to use the options in the program itself. For example, uncheck "automatically check for updates" in non-essential programs. Defrag your hard drive.
