Need to update motherboard with no cpu

I have the AMD fx-8350 and the MSO 970a g46 motherboard. I know that I need to update the motherboard, but is it possible to do it quickly? or will I need to get a different proccessor to update? Please help.

The update for it is easy and quick, and even with the default BIOS it will boot just fine. I have the same motherboard and an 8150, and it was pretty painless to get everything working. Just boot into windows, go to MSI's website, download the BIOS onto a flash-drive(make sure its not in a folder) and reboot. Then go into the BIOS menu and go to update BIOS, and it will be done.

I have both of them in the computer, but when I try to start it, the monitor says no signal.
