Desktops than can upgrade to 64GB RAM

I'm looking to get a new desktop at work and they will only allow us to buy from Dell, HP, etc.

I would like to find a model that can be upgraded to atleast 64GB RAM.

A workstation is too expensive for my budget but I was hoping that there are some models out there based off of Intel LGA 2011 or AMD A75 that will work.

A model that has 8 DIMM slots would be even better.

Well, since there are no 16 GB sticks on the market your only choice is a socket 2011 system to get 8x8GB = 64GB RAM (I assume you by workstation you meant you don't want a server class mobo).

I'm pretty sure there are 16gb sticks out there but are probably really expensive.

By workstation I meant that I'd like just have a single socket mobo.

Basically what the above poster said. What do you do that requires 64gigs of RAM?

One question, why exactly do you need 64gb of ram? I decide to help if you have a good enough reason for it.
