Okay so first off, I'm not really that skilled in this sort of area, so I'm looking for good opinions. I'll get the shop to build it for me, not really confident about building it myself
What I have is:
- Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30Ghz (which I hear is good due to overclocking I guess...and I've never overclocked before by the way)

- 3GB Radeon HD 7950 PCI-E VGA Card

- 8GB DDR3 1333 Memory

- Acer V243HL 5ms DVI LED Monitor

And windows 7, speakers and a DVD writer and some extra little stuff and it equals to about $1650-1700

Opinions? Good for gaming? Skyrim sorta stuff. Is it a good price or not?

By the way I'm not too familiar with overclocking things.

Hello petrou58;

Core i5-2500K is VERY good even without overclocking.
With overclocking? It's just that much better.

What you have listed is fine. Really excellent basis for a gaming build.

What did you get for a power supply and gaming case?
Did you include a CPU cooler for overclocking?

A few things don't seem to match the overall quality of the CPU and GPU.
My concerns would be:
(1) no CPU cooler option besides the pretty wimpy stock cooler
(2) case cooling with that SHAW 'Quality' Case - see if you can find a model number and a review.
(3) power supply - it's not even mentioned and it's a very important part of a gaming build where you might overclock the CPU and the GPU.

You can ask how many fans / what size fans are installed in the case. Maybe even a link to the case on a website.
And a make/model of PSU would be handy. Link to the PSU website would be nice.
And if you have any aftermarket CPU cooler options.
