Alternatives to Running a Cable In the house

Hey Guys, recently me and my dad decided to get the internet in my room wired because the wireless is unbearably slow. Right now we have the cable running from my dads office which is a story below and on the other side of the house to my room. Our problem is that he doesn't want to drill a hole in the wall to run the cable, and doesn't like having a cable sprawled throughout our house, so I was wondering if you guys have any ideas or alternatives to this.
