Either the cable to the display is loose or the display is dead. Dell service.

Try connecting an external monitor and press sthe key that switches between the external monitor and the laptops screen. If the external monitor works then switch back to the laptop's screen. At that point the graphics chip in you laptop still works. Fold the screen back and forth. If the screen comes on the flexible cable at the hinge may be faulty and may have to be replaced, if avalable. Look at the sreen at an angle ad see if you se a faint image, if you can the backlight or invertor may have failed. You can buy a used or new screen on ebay. You can buy a used laptop top on ebay. You have to carefully pry off the panel at the top of the keyboard and remove the mounting screws. At this point is it worth replacing the D620.
