Need your expert advise on my first build. Ideally I wanted to keep the cost around 600 bucks but the choice of components fairly exceeds that amount. Would appreciate suggestions where I can cut down without losing too much.

Approximate Purchase Date: By end of December

Budget Range: 600-800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Converting HD home videos, photo editing, , streaming TV content including HD, internet surfing, programming, gaming(not much)

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, TV tuner card(have a USB TV tuner card)

I would recommend you add an aftermarket Heatsink and Fan to your build if you're going to overclock the CPU. The stock HSF is horrible. Something like the CM Hyper 212+ is sufficient to OC the i5 2500k to around 4.2GHz:

As for a power supply, go with companies such as Seasonic, Corsair, or Antec. If you're not planning to SLI, then this is acceptable PSU:
