Just thought I would give one more thing to check if you get a Cpu Post Memory Initialization error 34 on a first time power-up Rampage IV Extreme water-cooled system.
When I did a search, after I had the error, most suggestions were to move memory around, checking CPUs and re seating CPUs.
Before messing around with all that, plug a CPU fan in to the CPU fan connector next to the CPU. The default BIOS setting will not allow the system to post if it doesn't detect a CPU fan. (My water cooled system doesn't have one.) After it posts, deactivate the CPU fan.
