Where does the nic adapter fit on the motherboard of a dell optiplex 745 series

The IE Internet Connection does not work. The error indicates that there is not a NIC adapter installed. Where does the NIC fit on the motherboard?

What operating system are you running, I recommend you go to the Dell website and look for the Ethernet Drivers.

Have you installed the LAN driver? Same thoughts.

On your Dell, unless somebody has added a separate one, the NIC is built into the motherboard and is non-removable. If a separate one has been installed, it could be found in a PCI or PCI Express slot on the board.

If you are using a wireless card, the computer will see it as a NIC also.
