1 8gb ram?

Why not use two 4GB sticks, this way you can gain the advantage of using dual channels.

However, yes that stick is good quality and will perform as expected.

2x4gb cards of the same ram, at the same speed will only cost about 5 dollars more, and if you have a quad channel MoBo you can always upgrade to 16GB's later on
