New Build help (Render)

Hello this is my first post here i would like to thank Tomshardware community for the very useful information that i have read here for many years.
i buid a new PC for a friend of mine who has a video production studio,this is his 4th pc and the best in his studio .
i would like to know please what can i do to increase speed for his work he does after effects cs5, HD render premiere pro sony vegas 10 pinnacle studio 14 (Photoshop)
i know i should chosen a better graphics card for this system but money soon became a problem at that time so i had to reduce the cost a little.
i choose for him
Asus rampage formula 3 extreme
core i7 950 3.06 overclocked to 3.7 but when on render it wold hit past 65 C on water so i went back stock speed.
16 gb ddr3 1600 kingston
1 4 gb samsung stick 6400 its just temporarily there will match later
i'd really like to give my friend some extra speed on after effects render and on HD video
1000 W cooler master modular
case water cooled
BD DVD black magic card
htachi 400 gb system and software
320 western digital green edition
1 tb archive
msi 9800 gt 1 gb

also planning to build another one soon and i was thinking
core i 5 2500k
Gigabyte Intel Z68 ATX DDR3 2133 LGA 1155
Corsair Vengeance Blue 16 GB DDR3
Crucial 64 GB m4 2.5
graphics ???
power maybe 750w
water cooled
