DVI-I Dual Link Cable

I have a GeForce GTX 570 card. Should I be using a DVI-I Dual Link cable? If so...why? Thank you

It doesnt really matter. As long as it works, but if you want audio from the card you will have to use hdmi

Single link supports up to 1920 x 1200 and dual link supports up to 2560 x 1600.

If you don't plan on going higher then 1920x1200 then it doesn't really matter.

Mostly true, but 120hz monitor at 1080p also need a dual link cable.
