Which build is better for gaming?

More about which build gaming
  1. 2100 is better, GPU for under $200 I would say a GTX 560 but if you can reach for the 560 Ti
  2. If you downgrade that intel mobo to a h67 (no need for overclocking motherboard), you can upgrade to an i5. That would perform better than both of these options.

But if it's one of the other, go with the i3.
  3. Not sure when you're planning on getting this but TigerDirect currently has an h67 mobo on sale for $35 after rebates

might be able to broaden your budget on other things even further
  4. I think 2100 is considerably better
  5. get the normal 212+ cooler than the evo one, u will save 10$ than add this one
GIGABYTE GV-N560UD-1G GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

This is incorrect . Tomshardware system builder marathons using these two processors showed the strengths and weaknesses .

The phenom was stronger everywhere except games , where it was a fraction behind .
Even using the stock cooler the phenom could then be easily over clocked to beat the i3 2100 in games , while the i3 cannot be overclocked at all
  7. Really which marathon build was that in?
  8. so for gaming the i3 is better?
but doesnt the 955 have quad cores?

Yes the i3 is faster for gaming, personally I would get the X4 BE though because of the multiplier-unlocked overclockability and it is a true quad-core.
