WEI for E8400

Hi,

I have a C2D E8400 @ 3Ghz scoring 3.3 on WEI under Windows 7. Can it be considered normal?

WEI is not everything but that is low.

Well, as much as I know it's not everything, it also caught my attention that in my old Windows 7 install (which was an update from Vista, update from XP), it scored 5.9, and now that it's a new Windows 7 install, it keeps on this 3.3 thing. Some lag in gaming has been noticed, too.

depending on the game, lagging usually more on the GPU than CPU but it still can be affecting the game.

do you have cpu-z?

What was the lowest scoring component of the WEI? That is what determines the overall score.

Evaluating a CPU by WEI is like checking if a woman is interesting by looking ONLY at her shoes !!

It is....retarded. So, an 8400 is a good CPU, just forget WEI.
