Is the ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 motherboard good?

Like the title says is it a good motherboard? I am currently upgrading my computer and replacing them. I was wondering if it's also decent for gaming.
I'm going to be using an AMD Phenom II 275 BE for the CPU and I have a GeForce GTX 275 for my graphics card. Is there a Specific DDR3 Ram I should use? or any is fine?

Hi, I've been using this board in my gaming pc with an 1100t, Corsair XMS3 1333 mhz RAM and a Sapphire 6950 for about 2 years and it's been a good board. But if I were you I'd be looking at better boards because this one is old now and it only has an AM3 socket so you won't have an upgrade path.
