I am having a problem with windows 7 64bit recognizing all 8gs of my ram. I know that the actual system finds it because it tells me the second stick is there in the bios and in AMD Overdrive. When I go into Computer then system properties it only says 4gs I have tried taking out the Ram cleaning and replacing them and switching slots on my mb. Is there anything else I can do?
btw I have Kingston 2400mhz 2x4gb RAM

Some ideas:
-try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes),
-check each slot and each RAM module by installing only one RAM stick.
-in msconfig, boot, advanced options, maximum memory should be unchecked.
-the RAMs might not be compatible with your board: http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?DeviceType=7&M...

I know my mb supports the memory it's the hyperx series
Here is the like from the ASrock website http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/FM2A85X%20Extreme4-M/index...

Im having the same problem. 3.24Gb usable out of 8Gb I enabled the remapping feature in BIOS under the ADVANCE TAB, but got the blue screen of death after rebooting. ended up disabling it, and still have original problem 3.24Gb usable out of 8Gb

Hi, When inserting only one RAM module, does the system recognise the 4GB? Check each slot and each module.
