so here i am trying to buy a graphics card for a new build, and these things are confusing me!

i find 'asus gtx 560' is this the same as nvidia gtx 560?

and theres certain suffixes like 'Ti' 'mini hdmi' and theres even somecards with two fans?!

im just confused, i just want a decent priced card (80-150 GBP) that can play games like total war shogun 2 and modern warfare 3 at 30+FPS

can anyone explain these things to me or just recommend a card?
and will my i3-2100 processor handle these games?

sorry for being such a noob :)

Nvidia does not produce cards but companies like Asus do so yes GTX560 is a nvidia card. TI moniker behind GTX560 is a different and more powerful card than the std GTX560. Mini HDMI is a connector to connect a monitor to the card.

your a legend, thanks for that my friend

so its not actually nvidia that make the cards... they just design them?
and does it make a difference then who actually produces the cards? is one manufacturer better than another?

520w should be enough for one 560ti card, i3 don't use much power.

Nvidia makes the GPU core and other company build their card around reference design provided by Nvidia. All of them are very similar in performance. And some have factory overclock and extras. Its really just depend on your preference and price each offers.

Most of the cards are similar in quality but a good thing to look at is manufacturers warranty which is what separates the good ones (usually longer warranty). A quality 520watt PSU will handle that fine, you have one in mind?
