Hi
I want to build my first PC. I have come up with a list of parts that I think would be best for my PC. Because it's my first could someone give me there opinion on whether I have made a good choice and whether I missed anything out. I have chosen:

Case - ASUS TM-210 Mini tower
SSD - Kingston SSDNow 16 GB Internal hard drive - 300 MBps
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1866 MHz ( PC3-15000 )
Motherboard - ASUS M4A88T-M - motherboard - micro ATX - Socket AM3 - AMD 880G - Socket AM3
Power supply - Antec EarthWatts EA-650 Green Power supply - 650 Watt
CPU - AMD Black Edition - AMD Phenom II X4 3.5 GHz Processor

I have had to stick to quite a small budget so I decided to go with out a graphics card and just use the small SSD for web browsing for a short while. Then buy a good hard drive and graphics card. I will use this for web browsing, photoshop and editing videos. I won't use it for games but out of interest would it be good enough to do so.

Thanks

That SSD is going to be way too small. My windows 7 folder alone is 19.7 GB, and there's probably only 15GB usable on the one you listed.

650W PSU is more than you need. Antec EarthWatts Green 380W is enough for basic usage. If you think you're going to be buying a mid-level GPU at some point (like a gtx460 or hd6850), you may want to go with a ~450W model.

Since you're doing video editing, a quad-core Intel may be a better choice. It's going to do more work than the Phenom and they're 95W CPUs, where the Phenom is 125W (i.e. it's more efficient and will run cooler).

dont use an AM3 motherboard . Get an AM3+ so you can use future processors .

Often the FX 4100 is the best priced AMD quad

RAM should be 1.5 volt or less . 1600 MHz would be fine

The 650 watt psu is overkill unless you are adding a top end graphics card

Hi again,
Thanks for your advise. I have decided to do as you suggested, I decided to get a 64GB SSD and a AM3+ Motherboard with better on board graphics. I also decided I could afford a better CPU so I got an FX as Outlander-04 suggested but a six core one. Here is my new list of hardware:

Case - ASUS TM-210 Mini tower
SSD - Kingston SSDNow 64 GB Internal hard drive - 300 MBps
RAM - Kingston HyperX 8 GB : 2 x 4 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz ( PC3-12800 )
Motherboard - ASRock 880GMH/U3S3 - motherboard - micro ATX - Socket AM3+ - AMD 880G - Socket AM3+
Power supply - Antec EarthWatts EA500D Green Power supply - 500 Watt
CPU - AMD FX-6100 3.3 GHz Processor

Does this list sound better?
