As stated, I have a Phenom x6 1045t (black edition) and recently downloaded the AMD Overdrive app. Many minutes of screwing around with it tells me that it might be prudent to ask the experts for resources that will tell me, on average, what overall percent increase I can hope to achieve by overclocking? This may be a too overly-general question, and I apologize in advance if it is. However, I'm not sure I want to spend a great deal of time learning how to do something that clearly has minimal returns on my time investment, so to speak. Thanks!
DO NOT USE SOFTWARE TO OVERCLOCK AT ANY TIME !!!! BIOS OCing is the only way..So as for your question uninstall AMD overdrive immediatly. That Chip can be easily Oced through the BIOS with just a bump up of the CPU multiplier and giving it at slight if any voltage increase depending on how fast you want it to run.....BTW....Software OCing(SoftOC) tends to corrupt data i.e. registry files amongst other bad things.
