Howzit guys...
im looking to spend bout $800 on a ivy bridge cpu and mobo...
if im not mistaken, i believe the Z68 is compatible with ivy bridge, so if i find a deal on 1, should i go for it now and wait for cpu?
also, i am aiming at the i7-2600k replacement --- any thoughts ??? will it fit my budget?
and im unsure bout ram...if i have 12gb 1333, will i have to get somthing different? 1600?
ill be using it for gaming...
anything is welcome...

Z68 is supposed to be compatible, but you'll more than likely have to flash the BIOS to add the CPUs to the 'compatible list'. So you will need a Sandy Bridge to get the machine on and updated. And until the chips release, I don't know what price Intel is going to put on them.

@ scottiemedic Yip - i would actually prefer to get it all at the same time...

Realisticly speaking, could i expect the prices to be similar to sandy bridge? i aint on a very tight budget, but i wanted it to fit in with my other upgrades...
