I want to build a computer that will be used mostly for just internet browsing, word, excel, and quickbooks. I wanted to know how many would recommend an amd processor for this build? and what amd chip would be the equivalent to an intel i5 2500k?

thanks

Depending on your budget go with intel, if your budget is less then $700 go with AMD. But since your not gaming on anything go with any cheap cpu.

Don't need a 2500K for those purposes. Mainly all you need is an inexpensive i3 build for around $500. I'm an intel guy so that would be my recommendation. And we can walk through some builds if you're interested.

You should just buy any cheap prebuilt laptop or desktop. What you proposed doesnt really require anything and personally isnt worth making one yourself, IMO.
