[ASUS M5A99X EVO] 2x8 G Skill 1600 stuck at 1333MHz

I'm new to this forum, but I do read from it a lot. I have the ASUS M5A99X EVO along with 2x8GB of G Skill 1600 ram.
My mother board recognizes my RAM as 1333MHz and when I set it to 1600 manually My screen shows nothing when I boot
and I have to press the "mem ok' and it seems to reset the bios. ANy help would be great, thanks.

  1. Hi, Run CPU-Z and in the Memory tab, read the XMP values. Set them in BIOS.
Are the RAMs listed here http://www.gskill.com/configurator2.php?pid=2&model=1488 ?
  2. the memory options on my motherboard are confusing, were would I set the XMP values?
  3. Is there any way someone could still help me out with this?

Try going to the SPD tab (near Memory) and check the XMP settings there.
  5. alright, I'll get back to you later tomorrow to see if everything worked out.
