GA-Z77X-UP4 USB problems

Hi all,

Yesterday, I purchased the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 motherboard. Since then I have been having MAJOR problems with the USB functionality. The ports from the first internal USB header seem to be working fine, but the rear USB ports are extremely unstable.

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4
Intel i7 3770K
Windows 8 Pro x64

I need to have this resolved as quickly as possible, so any feedback will be GREATLY appreciated! This is killing my productivity. Thanks so much.

What do you mean by unstable?
I had a lot of issues with windows 8 which were automatically fixed in windows 7. Reinstall the USB drivers and see if that fixes the problem. There are different drivers for USB 3.0

I am experiencing random disconnects, which seem to be related to the VIA ports.
