I'll be installing a water cooling system (Probably Antec 620 Kuhler or something like that) on my processor. The motherboard I have is a Asus M5A97 which is a AMD motherboard. It has pre installed brackets for the stock CPU fan to go on, and I want to use a after market one instead. Will I have to take off the brackets that came with the motherboard, and use the ones that come with the water cooler instead?
Please inform me. This is my first build. :)

yes, you'll have to remove the brackets on the top side of the MOBO. That applies to most after market coolers. The retainers that come with the cooler will replace the built in brackets 9 out of 10. It's an easy unscrew and remove deal. Remember, don't be forceful with the screws, MOBO's do crack. And I always stress to make sure that you're grounded when touching anything on your MOBO, static kills.
