can i buy a gtx 580 now and later get a 570.like am i able to have two diffrent cards in SLI. Is it smarter just to buy another 580 later on or should i not even get a 580 and just go with 1 570 for now and get another 1 later.

No, you cannot SLI a GTX580 with a GTX570, with nVidia you have to choose the same model of cards (Brand doesn't matter however)

GTX580 SLI Vs GTX570 SLI? Depends on your budget, power supply, monitor resolution, games you play ETC...

Essentially there isn't a huge difference between the 2 setups, perhaps 20%

I would go for the GTX 570 and eventually SLI them. The one I have:
EVGA superclocked 012-p3-1572-ar geforce gtx 570 (this one is lifetime warranty)
