When I open a site that is listed in an email or newsgroup it always
opens up in a small window in the center of the screen. I have to
click on the full window button to open it up. I do not remember this
doing that before I installed SP2. Is there an option to have these
windows open up in a larger window?

Drag the Explorer window to the desired size and press CTRL while you
close it.

Resize the window and then click on the icon found in the top right of the
window.. select 'size' from the menu and then left click the mouse.. this
has been possible in all Windows Os'es..

Thank you all. That was easy once you told me how to do it. It never
did that before. Guess I was just lucky.
