Hi,
I am looking to build a computer (without monitor, mouse, keyboard, sound) that can be used for photoshop, Maya and ArcGIS. 84 Bit. Can these be compatible for one machine. I don't want to spend more than $1600.00
Thank You,

Richard B

In terms of the machine as described above the priorities of software and needs would be:
1) GIS (ARC/GIS) 2) 3D Visualization and Modeling(Maya, 3D studio Max and 3D Nature's Visual Nature Studio), 3) Photoshop. Want to build it from scratch.

Thanks,
Richard B

I don't know anything about ArcGIS (and you mean 64 bit), but this should be a standard productivity build. You're looking: 2600K ($320)
Z68 (ASRock Z68 Extreme3, $125)
16gb RAM (8gb would do, but 16'll have you set for a few years, I think. $75)
a $75ish case (choose by stylistic preference; most work fine)
the cheapest 1tb HDD you can find, $140 probably
Antec 380W, $45
PNY Quadro 2000, $450
That's $1230. I'd recommend adding an SSD, like a Crucial M4 128gb for $210 for a total of $1440.
Ah, watched some ArcGIS youtube clips. I have no changes to make; this build'll run well. You could go as far up or down as you want with the GPU.
