R u looking for a Non stock Cpu cooler. With the money you have saved on the Case go for somehting like the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Evo which would give u lower temps and allow u to overclock your i5-2500K well :)

I'd stick with the Carbide - the HAFs are great cases don't get me wrong, but Corsair includes a ton of extras for the price that Cooler Master doesn't. Plus you really can't beat the cable management system of the Corsairs.

Asrocks are getting better - but most of the time their products can go either way. I've got two Gigabyte boards and really like them so far (one is AMD 990FX, and the other is Intel Z68).

If you already have a SATA HDD, would you have a SATA DVD burner? At this price range it really doesn't matter, but hey, twenty bucks is twenty bucks...

i5-2500k is the best price/performance out there for gaming. I would not agree on the other poster about choosing the non "K" as if you ever want to overclock, your not going to be able to on a non "K" it is barely more expensive and can be overclocked at 4.0 without a voltage change easily. I haven't overclocked as I run a i3-2100, so I know this from reading other forums and research. Other people can say more on this. It is quite safe to overclock now. I would really consider oc'ing. It doesn't mean you have to go for a 5+ ghz oc.

Motherboard: That is a very popular board. It has lots of features and is a great board. The only things about it are its warranty, 2 years I believe, and overall quality doesn't match some ASUS offerings. It is by no reasons bad quality though. I would keep that also.

RAM: I would recommend that ram. I have a very similar model. Either 1600 or 1333 works. No performance increase in the real life. 8 gig's is cheap enough I would say to keep what you have. Do consider though that the heatsinks are tall, and can interfere with some heat sinks. Consider Corsair's low profile vengeance too.

GPU: That is a monster of a GPU. A GTX 570 would do well too, and is a significant amount cheaper too. Their performance is not a HUGE increase, especially when the 570 is oc'ed. New GPU's are on the horizon so I do find it difficult to recommend the best at it's price right now. Your choice.

I can't say SLI. With current GPU's microstuttering is a problem. Lots of people see it, and lots don't. I haven't done it because of the issue. Google "SLI Micro Stutter" or something along those lines.

PSU: If you decide to not SLI go with a Corsair 650w, or something similar. If planning to SLI sometime, than go with what you have or bigger.

Case: Good case, consider the HAF series too, and the Storm series from Cooler Master. What you have is a really good case anyways.

Consider a SSD, as they speed up everything.Definitely not a requirement. If you look at them I would say Crucial M4, Intel, or Samsung. Stay away from OCZ. If you think OCZ would be fine look at all the problems in the reviews and on their forums. Just a suggestion.

Oh and do you need an OS?

NP. And yes that is what I recommend with the GPU.

Oh quick edit: If you SLI 570's 850w is fine.
