Crossfire 6950's No performance boost Help??

Hi im having problems with my new pc my crossfire set up is not boosting performance of the graphics at all i have got crossfire enabled in the catalyst control panel as well

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My PC:
I7 980X
Gigabyte Gorilla Mainboard
2x 2GB 6950s
12GB corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Cooler master 750W

  1. What games did you test and what resolution do you play on ?
  2. Crysis 2 gets worse with cross fire. other games should be ok
  3. BTW, nice CPU, I'm jelly
  4. I heard Crysis 2 has absolutely terrible crossfire driver support, so that may be the problem if other games work fine.

    i play all my games on 1920x1080
    i tested fps with cod 4, bf3 beta, bc2 but i get no difference in any of them according to fraps this is with crossfire turned on and off
    any thing you think i should try?

  6. Try running unigine heaven 2.5 and see if there is a difference.

  7. Yep try unigine and check if it makes any differences or not.
    Also make sure V-sync is disabled

    Hi i just ran the benchmark the crossfire is working my fps was massively increased when crossifire was turned on i have no idea why this is not happening in games?

    but if its working then it must be working

    Thansk for the help sorry about the slow reply been having connection problems but v-sync is not on.

    I have fixed the problem though i just uninstalled and reinstalled a older version of drivers
